Between denatality, low school-to-university transition rates and migration in 2021, the gap between North-Center and South marked a difference of 80 thousand matriculated students. In the past 20 years, about 1.2 million young people have left the Mezzogiorno, 1 in 4 are college graduates. In Italy, we have other difficulties, but the ignorance of the leaders and the escape of the young people in my opinion are devastating for any nation. The players fall into the category of young people on where in Italy we do not want to invest, in this case is resolved by buying abroad often mediocre football players.
Ho partecipato a Palermo alla Facoltà di Agraria a un incontro organizzato dall’Associazione degli studenti “Agroethica” sul tema “Agronomi on te job”, dedicato all’orientamento al lavoro del giovane laureato. Vi è stata, a mio avviso, una partecipazione straordinaria in termini di presenze e di interventi, per tutta una lunga e piacevole mattinata. Il mio intervento è stato basato sul lavoro che svolgo e, quindi, su come sviluppare le proprie abilità individuali e di network sociale per sviluppare la propria professionalità. Si sono evidenziati giovani che dimostrano di essere attivamente interessati a ricercare il lavoro, a capire quale ruolo giochi il loro modo di pensare e la fiducia in se stessi, a interrogarsi sul fatto che essere laureati è solo primo step di un percorso lungo e laborioso, e a prendere coscienza che cambiare non è sinonimo di avere problemi ma deve essere la costante della loro vita. Bisognerebbe che nelle università si diffondesse questa pratica, per trasmettere idee e strumenti per realizzarsi.
