Did sport engage athletes and coaches in collective accountability system?

Have you ever heard (at least in Italy) of sports organizations that, in this period, have turned to psychologists to talk to their athletes and coaches about how to deal with the pandemic, in order to empower them and spread those behaviors of each that serve to safeguard the health of the group?

The role playing, role games, arise precisely from the awareness that through the direct involvement of people in a specific situation, in this case eg doctor who explains the rules to be kept in this period and athlete / coach who accepts them. The identification with one of these characters leads to seek the information necessary to support the role required and initiates a process of self-confidence.

It is a model created by Kurt Lewin in 1942 to change the eating habits of Americans that already in those years produced very positive results.

To implement this approach today, in our sports clubs and federations, we would need managers who seek solutions to the difficulties related to the ease of contagion not only in the classic way of ordering what should be done but also using a system based on the active involvement of staff and athletes in promoting a sense of collective responsibility.
