I just want to play having fun

If you think I always have to be the best, don’t come.

If for you the result is the most important thing, don’t come. If you’re going to yell at the referee every time you think he’s wrong, don’t come. If you can’t stand me being on the bench. Don’t come. And if you’re going to get angry every time I miss, don’t come. If you come, come to enjoy, to cheer. And to rest.

I just want to play happily. And to see you happy. Soccer is a game and we are stealing it from the children.

Having fun in competition is not a joke

Having fun is not a joke.
Often coaches say to athletes: “Go and have fun”. And they look at them with two eyes out of their sockets saying but “what are you saying, here I have to give my best I am not going to the pizzeria with friends”.

They are both right and wrong. How do you have fun when you are committed to giving your best? Then the athletes are right. Maybe there is a way to have fun in the most competitive moments? So the coaches are right.

The question is well expressed by Sun Yingsha: You must have the pleasure of facing difficult situations! In this way the fun is given by the pleasure of facing challenges with all the risks involved.

If you have fun you take the stairs

“Take the stairs instead of the escalator or elevator and feel better” is something we often hear or read in the Sunday papers. Few people actually follow that advice. Can we get more people to take the stairs over the escalator by making it fun to do? See the results here.

“fai le scale invece di prendere l’ascensore e starai meglio” è qualcosa che abbiamo spesso sentito dire o letto. Poche persone però seguono questo consiglio. Possiamo aumentare il loro numero trasformandola in un’attività divertente? Guarda i risultati.

Fun at Olympics

I share with you these video received by email.

These Olympic swimmers aren’t exhibiting any signs of anxiety… a wonderful example of how such an important event should also be fun!  Might be a great video to share with athletes and teams.
