Amy Purdy: living beyond limits

Amy Purdy was 19 when due to bacterial meningitis, the kidneys and spleen were removed and amputated both legs. The physicians told her that it would take some time to start walking with the prosthesis and that she could not continue he rpassion for snowboarding. Today, 17 years after surgery, Amy not only won the bronze medal in the Paralympics in Sochi, but she is also a model, dancer, fashion designer and writer. All this has happened with the help of her father, who donated a kidney and he has been getting support in difficult times.
